Network access

Wireless access
As of right now, we have two networks:
SonicHipnotic_2: This network is the main network you should use for connecting personal devices.
Survival of the HiPpest: If you have “internet of things”/smart connected devices (e.g., smart lightbulbs, smart refrigerators???), connect them to this network.
Wired access
Every bedroom should have at least one Ethernet port. If you plug into it and configure your computer to use DHCP, it should work right away.
Some rooms don't have a wired port but they are slowly being re-wired. If it is important to you to have one, email the network manager hipnm@bsc.coop and you will get priority.
